









Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre provides arts and crafts courses for adults and children, specialising in pottery, glass fusing and stained glass, jewellery-making, and mosaic-making. We run weekly morning and evening classes, weekend breaks, summer schools and tailor-made workshops for corporate groups and private parties.
One-day Pottery Taster course offer
One-day taster pottery class 10.00am to 4.30pm 2013: April 7, Oct 6, Nov 3 Price: €75 per person (second person for €50) including all materials and firings In the pottery day, you will learn to coil ceramic sculptures, build pots using sheets of clay, throw on the potter's wheel, decorate your work using slips and sgraffito and have a guided tour of The Coach House Gallery to learn more about other pottery techniques. All your work will be dried, biscuit fired, glazed and glaze fired after the course. You will need to arrange to collect the work within 6-8 weeks of the class date. If your surname is: Murphy, Kelly, O'Sullivan, Walsh, O'Brien, Byrne, Ryan, O'Connor, O'Neill or O'Reilly, you're eligible to come - though you or your guest must be living abroad! In the day you will design pottery to celebrate your Irish roots, examine your name's meaning and history, and you'll have the chance to meet people you're related to. |
