Combining experimental and analytical exercises while alternating between a technical and fun approach to drawing from the model, students will develop an understanding of the human form and through this, improve their observation, hand to eye co-ordination and the ability to translate the 3D world into a convincing and competent 2D image. Starting with short poses, working towards long poses as skills develop over the course of the term. Materials are included

Suitable for beginners. Classes run on Monday or Tuesday evenings during term-time, and on Sundays once a month for those who prefer one full day of life drawing. Also check the weekend and 5-day course dates.

Wednesday evenings in 2009 (7-9.30pm) will be Mixed Media classes where studnets can develop their drawing skills through experimentation with a range of materials as well as learning collage, frottage, basic printing techniques and tracing.
