Creative book making and binding with Ciara Healy is a weekend course like no other. Ciara's range of art design books are unique, and exhibited widely in the UK. In this workshop you will learn a range of simple book making skills.

This is not a traditional bookbinders course; it is a more creative version! You will not need to use advanced bookbinder materials, the books yuo will learn to make can also be made at home. There is some delicate stitching required, so a steady hand would be useful. If you are a poet, writer, painter, photographer, print-maker or textile artist, this is a good course for you!

Over the weekend you will learn to make: a staple Book, An Accordian Book, A japanese Stab Bound Book, Paste Paper End Papers, A Case Bound Book, a Tunnel Book and a French Stitched Book. Basic materials and tools will be provided but you might like to bring some of yuor own, such as paper (different colours and sizes), decorative items, such as ribbon and fancy wrapping paper for making book covers.

Prices:
