This course allows students to explore and develop their chosen painting techniques using a range of mediums including oils, acrylics and watercolours. You will also explore various grounds and materials, creating different styles and effects. We will experiment with salt, wax, tar, solvents and other mixed media. There will be opportunities to work from still life, landscape, and a life model (numbers permitting), focusing on composition, focal points and perspective. This course will enhance your understanding of the various mediums, build your confidence and encourage you to begin to develop a style that works for you. This course is suitable for beginners and basic materials are provided. Full advice on purchasing your own paints and brushes will be given during the course
