Course goals
1. To explore your creative expression.
2.To develop your creative writing skills.
3.To take your writing seriously.

Each 3 hour class is an active workshop that consists of a mix of writing techniques/subjects that we will explore, and creative writing exercises that are done together.

The workshops use Haiku, music, storytelling, memory, and myth to help writers to develop creative flow.

The workshops are structured to help writers to explore writing on a practical level. To be both in the moment and slightly distanced from it. Over the two-week course we will use all five senses to describe the world around us, we will explore the joy of words, and we will dip into our memories as we search for the voice that tells the story. It does not matter in which order you attend the two weeks.
Homework is assigned at every workshop as a follow-through of the day's theme and is discussed/corrected collectively at the next class. Story prompts are also provided at each workshop.
